讲座人简介：

景乃桓，美国耶鲁大学博士，美国北卡州立大学终身教授。曾获德国洪堡学者，美国富尔布莱特学者，国家级杰出青年人才等殊荣。在国际主要数学刊物上发表近百篇论文，编辑著作5部。主要从事无限维李代数，量子群、表示论、代数组合和量子计算方面的研究工作。其中与耶鲁大学Frenkel教授合作，首次构造仿射量子代数的顶点表示。这项被称之为Frenkel-Jing构造是该领域的开创性工作，发表在数学顶尖刊物[Invent Math]上；提出被同行誉为Jing Operator（景算子），首创利用顶点算子构造Hall－Littlewood对称多项式的新方法，被著名数学家Macdonald在其名著中收列为对称函数的新研究方法。

讲座简介：

We give a new approach to compute irreducible characters of the general linear group over the finite field. The vertex algebraic method enhanced Green's theory and we realized the Hall algebra using two Fock spaces corresponding to extensions of Galois fields and their duals. As a result, a general formula of character values is obtained. This is joint work with Y. Wu.
